6 Cable Knit Sweaters

It’s officially sweater weather! These last few weeks have been a whirlwind. We celebrated three birthdays in October (my mom, Daphne, and Alan) and topped it all off with a fun (but windy) Halloween night.

We’re already into November, and the holiday season is coming up quickly. I’ve been busy putting together this year’s looks and gift guides. To officially kick off the holidays, I thought I’d start with a collection of my favorite cable knit sweaters.

I chose the sweaters below for their style, reviews, quality, and price. Since everyone is looking for something different when shopping, I’ve grouped these into three categories: traditional, eco-conscious, and budget-friendly.

Traditional

1. LL Bean Signature Cotton Fisherman Sweater ($99.00)

I especially love this sweater in beige. It looks incredibly soft, chunky and warm. Perfect to layer with a flannel on chilly days.

2. Banana Republic Aire Cable-Knit Sweater ($98.50)

Fitted with a slight stretch, I adore this traditional cable-knit in navy. Judging from the picture, the knit looks like it’s so soft.

Eco-Conscious

3. Madewell Augustus Cableknit V-Neck Sweater ($89.50)

This sweater looks good and does good, too: Madewell partners with the Better Cotton Initiative to improve the cotton farming industry. I adore the delicate and feminine Heather Carnation shade.

4. Seasalt Tide and Time Jumper (about $69.84 USD)

Seasalt is a UK-based conscious clothing shop. They pride themselves in creating beautiful, responsibly-sourced pieces shipped in thoughtful packaging.

The Tide and Time jumper in Night is timeless, soft, and definitely one of my favorites for the holiday season.

As this is a UK company, the prices are in pounds. I did a quick conversion and shipping to the United States is only about $11.50 (USD) and takes an estimated 3-5 business days.

Budget-Friendly

5. St. John’s Bay Women’s Crew Neck Long Sleeve Pullover Sweater ($14.99 on sale)

If you’re on a budget this holiday season, but love the classic look of cable knit, check out St.John’s Bay. They have a great selection of colorful sweaters and pullovers. My sweater above is a St. John’s Bay one from last Christmas.

This basic sweater is my pick for this season. It’s perfect for those chilly days and comes in a variety of bright colors.

6. Land’s End Women’s Cotton Cable Drifter Crewneck Sweater ($35.97 after promo)

Is there anything more cheery than this bright yellow sweater? I love the style, the knit pattern, and the price.
