Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start. Yesterday was pretty smooth for a Monday. I helped with a data integrity testing project at work, played with Daphne in the backyard, and even packed lunches for work the night before! I felt like the picture of productivity. (These days don’t happen too often, so I have to enjoy them while I can, right?)
I realized last week I have almost no spring clothes. I have some beach wear, a few pairs of shorts, and plenty of tank tops, but I don’t have much that I can wear to the office. Alan and I have moved a lot in the past few years, so I’m thinking some of my old clothes were lost in the shuffle. Whatever the reason, it is quickly becoming a problem every morning finding something to wear. I really need some new pieces for my wardrobe.
Here are a few things on my wish list this spring.
1. Wrap Top by Chelsea28 in Teal Balsam | Nordstrom | $79
I love this shirt, and let me tell you all the reasons why: one, wrap ties are very flattering on pear-shaped body types (like myself); two, the teal color is fresh and springy; and three, it ships free from Nordstrom.com.
It’s sometimes hard to dress in the spring because the weather can be temperamental, so I like how this shirt is long sleeved. It would be perfect for a breezy day.
2. Market Tote Bag | J. Crew | $69.50
This tote would be nice for the farmer’s market, the beach, or simply running Saturday errands. It’s pretty big at 13.5″ high, which is perfect for how much stuff I need to tote around these days. Also, the natural straw color would match a lot of spring outfits.
3. Martin Sandal by Caslon in Sand Oiled Nubuck| Nordstrom | $47.98
This peep-toe heeled shoe is perfect for work, and it’s currently 60% off! It comes in five colors. I like the Sand Oiled Nubuck (pictured) but the Olive Oiled Nubuck caught my eye, too. If I like something, I’m known for buying it in multiple colors, so I may have to get both…
4. Peplum Tee by Calson in Ivory-Black Aubrey Stripe | Nordstrom | $23.40
Another one of my favorite types of shirts is peplum – it’s a flattering fit for many body types. I love the delicate stripes in this shirt – and did you see the price? This one also ships free. FYI: the website notes that it runs large, so you should order one size smaller than you normally would.
5. Apple AirPods | $159
Ok, so these are obviously not clothes, but they have been on my wish list for a while. I’m that person at the gym still using wired headphones and carrying my phone around with me. It gets in the way, especially since most women’s workout clothes don’t have pockets. My birthday is coming up – I may need to drop a few hints to Alan.
Hope you have a great Tuesday.
