I’m glad it’s Friday! This week has been productive and enjoyable overall. We have avoided the snowstorm so far, but I hear it’s coming tomorrow and Sunday. It’s also a long weekend for me, since I have Monday off.
Below are a few things that have caught my eye.
What a time to be alive. When I read yesterday that a picture of a brown speckled egg had officially broken the Instagram record for most-liked photo, I was, of course, very intrigued. (And also secretly kind of glad that Kylie Jenner’s record-breaking photo had been knocked out of first place.)
Who are the people behind this account? Are you one of the seven million following them on Instagram? Let me know in the comments.
I’ve been using the Strong app for about two weeks to track my workouts.
I’m loving it so far.
I love how simple the layout is. The black and white text is easy to read and they have a ton of workouts preprogrammed into the “exercises” library, so you don’t need to spend a ton of time adding custom workouts to your list.
It sure beats carrying a notebook around the gym (which yes, I used to do).
Search for “Strong” in the App Store to get the free download.
Three Blog Posts
I’ve published three blog posts this week! My goal for 2019 is to publish one post Monday through Friday around 9:30am each day. I’m at work during the week, so I’ve been scheduling the posts, which has made it so easy to maintain a consistent posting time.
Setting really specific goals helps keep me on track. I have struggled in the past with vague goals, so the more specific, the better!
Old Navy Ankle Boots
I’ve been wearing my new Old Navy boots every. single. day. I have them in tan and black.
I seriously love these little ankle boots. They’re so comfortable and they go with almost everything.
They make a thrown-together outfit look polished and they are comfy to walk in all day. The heel is just high enough to add some height without making slippery winter sidewalks too dangerous to navigate.
They’re also on sale – click here!
It’s been a fun week, and now I’m ready for a long weekend full of relaxing, family time, and new blog post ideas. See you Monday!
